What is an 'emergency' and 'urgent' repair? How long will it take for somebody to attend?

An 'Emergency Repair' is any work that needs to be carry out when the safety of the tenant or the structure of the property is compromised.  In this circumstances somebody will attend the property on the same day to make the property safe.   Further work to bring the property to its original condition may take longer.

An 'Urgent Repair' is any work that needs to be carried out to fix a fault that is causing serious inconvenience to the tenant, neighbours or landlord.  In these cases somebody will attend the property within a maximum of three working days.  However most contractors will attend the property within 48 hours (excluding weekends).
