Yes, you need to be reference checked even if you have just relocated to the UK.  We will still have to confirm your history in the UK on the following aspects

Check of credit history i.e. bankruptcy, CCJ’s etc.

Check the last 3 years of addresses.

Previous landlord reference.  

Bank validation.
