Registering as a landlord before all checks are completed

During the initial landlord registration process you will have to confirm whether you have all the compliance checks in place. Most likely that won’t be the case yet.

Unless you could answer ‘Yes’ to all the question regarding compliance certificates, after you have completed your application on-line (during which you will have answered 'No' to the relevant questions), please send an email to [e-mail]  or [e-mail]   (depending  on the location of your property) with the following text or similar:

"I have submitted my application as a landlord to the Scottish Landlord Register.  During this application I stated that I have not obtained some of the certificates required for this registration yet.

Nevertheless I can confirm that I will obtain the necessary certificates prior to letting my property.  

Martin & Co Aberdeen (LRN 02603/100/12550 for Aberdeen / LRN 93669/110/09260 for Aberdeenshire) are acting as my letting agent and they are overseeing the compliance procedure on our behalf."


After you write to them, they should continue the application process and you should get your Landlord Registration Number within a week.
